Shameless self-promotion of the day: My somewhat-decent photos were used for a travel piece in iCreate Indonesia, a Mac magazine that also covers lifestyle stuff and whatnot. The article itself was written by Delima Shanti (an upcoming superstar writer/journalist/I’m not quite sure what she want to be when she grows up), and covers Melbourne, a place that I have long considered home. My pictures do not do justice to this city that I love so much, though Delima did an excellent job in highlighting what Melbourne has to offer.
Pictured (going clockwise) in the article is a Melbourne City Circle tram; a Melbourne Bike Share bike-rack; Degraves St; the inside of Manchaster Press; the outside of Pellegrini’s; the quintessentially Melbourne shot of Flinders St Station (unfortunately and annoyingly, with Eureka Tower poking out from behind, which is entirely my fault—I should have walked across the street to hide it from view); as well as the inside of Captains of industry. There’s more on the subsequent pages, mostly of Hosier Lane and Victoria Market, that I can’t post up.
My only regret is that I didn’t cross-process the hell out of these pictures.

Why thank you for the kind words Iqbal! It was great to have someone handy with a camera….
Have been considering putting up this story on my portfolio for a while, just because it’s kind of my first big magazine feature. Well….. except it was translated into Indonesian so I would feel like it’s not really my work or only 50% of my work.
It’s a travel piece in Melbourne, promoting the city as an alternative to the more popular destinations such as Gold Coast, Sydney, etc.
I might post up the original English version anyway just because it would make more sense to people likely to read my portfolio.
