WHOA I forgot how intensely dark and twisted Jane Eyre is. Haven’t read the book since high school but the movie’s pretty good too. I’ve been an Austen girl before this, but the prancing/giggling/romcom-ness of the books/movies always annoy me halfway through.

I wonder if all the Bronte books are as emo as Jane Eyre. Any suggestions?
