the most important moment in Drag Race history
The fact that the bit later in this episode, where Shannell’s wig falls off mid-Greatest Love Of All but she keeps going and NAILS IT, was taken off YouTube is one of my all time biggest sadnesses.

TOP OF THE LAKE: Amazing show, shot in New Zealand. What it.
Anonymous asked: Have you ever went to QA? What do you think about it if you did?
What’s up with the Anon?
I did in Year 7 and I was the only non-Arab kid there, and as a result I only lasted a year there. Let’s just say I didn’t really become the best of friends with the girls there (back then the school wasn’t co-ed, dunno if it is now).
Anyway, this deal with the Nepali teacher being fired because he said granted, some inappropriate things after being picked on and made fun of because of his ethnicity doesn’t surprise me at all.
You see the same thing happen everyday at the QA foyer - it’s the kind of treatment I saw students there give their drivers/nannies on a daily basis.
The problem there is a cultural one, a lot of the rich students in QA have a sense of entitlement that’s been instilled in them from being treated like kings from birth.
The teacher didn’t respond appropriately, but firing him wasn’t the answer. It just sends the message to students that it’s okay to belittle authority and the student will think that treating someone badly because of their skin is ok.
“A few minutes ago Anderson Cooper asked [Charles Ramsey] if he would like a reward. Charles pulled his paycheck out of his pocket and said, ‘I get a Paycheck. Give the reward to the girls they rescued.’”
THAT’S what we should be talking about, not “how funny those quaint little black people are when they get on camera.”
This guy helps rescue three women, and people are making fun of him? Yeah, he used humor when he told the tale, and sure, it’s appropriate to chuckle when he does so. (Like when he said he “knew there was a problem when a young white girl ran into a black mans arms.”)
But to make fun of him? TO MAKE FUN OF HIM? TO DISRESPECT THIS MAN? THIS HERO?
Fucking shame on you. Dishonor on you, dishonor on your family, dishonor on your cow.
If you’re the kind of scumbag who makes fun of heroes, I suppose you can poke fun at him all you want, but if I’m ever in trouble and need someone to step up the the plate, I hope someone like Charles Ramsey is around.
ahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahhaha etc etc
